¶  Legal & Law-Related Licensed Research Services

The Law Library subscribes to the following licensed research service services. Their use is restricted to statutory users and to local attorneys with library privileges.

A limited number of login accounts for LexisNexis and Westlaw are available for statutory users from the Butler County Law Library by contacting the Law Library Director, Joe Hodnicki (513-887-3455 or e-mail. Listed BNA services can be accessed without a login account from official Butler County IP-authenticated addresses. Statutory users without one should contact the Law Library Director. The Butler County Law Library Resources Board does not charge back to statutory users the cost of providing these services, which are financed with Board funds.

NCLC's Consumer Law Manual Companion Websites (assess restricted to User Name/Password in Law Library)
Contains the 18 titles of The Consumer Credit and Sales Legal Practice Series published by the National Consumer Law Center. Coverage includes consumer litigation, debtor rights, credit and banking, and deception and warranties titles.

Bankruptcy Basics (NCLC) (assess restricted to User Name/Password in Law Library)
The National Consumer Law Center's companion website updates the print version of Bankruptcy Basics, 1st ed. (2007). This website in not part of the NCLC's Consumer Law Manual Companion Websites linked to in the above entry. Bankruptcy Basics (2007) is a step-by-step guide for self-represented litigants, general practitioners, and legal services attorneys.
